Reaching Upper Dolpa is no easy feat—especially via the rugged Mustang route. Yet, three KTM riders, Bijay Shrestha, Bikesh Shrestha, and Dhiraj Basnet, achieved the remarkable by taking their bikes across the formidable Dhukung Pass, standing tall at 5,500 meters. Their adventure wasn’t just a test of endurance for themselves, but also for KTM’s latest off-road machines in Nepal.

Among the bikes that tackled the rugged Upper Dolpa terrain was the newly launched KTM 390 Enduro R, priced at Rs. 9,99,900 in Nepal. Built for hardcore off-road riders, it comes with a 398.63cc engine, 253mm ground clearance, ride modes, traction control, Quickshifter+, and switchable ABS.

The design is minimalist yet rugged, with a tall beak-style fender, wide handlebars, a flat seat, and stripped-down bodywork for rider mobility. Rolling on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, the 177kg Enduro R is complemented by long-travel suspension (200mm front, 205mm rear), dual-disc brakes, and a 4.2-inch TFT with smartphone connectivity.

Alongside it, KTM introduced the 2025 Adventure series in Nepal, led by the 390 Adventure at Rs. 10.74 lakh. Powered by a 399cc single-cylinder engine producing 46 hp and 39 Nm, it balances highway cruising with trail agility. It gets 21/17-inch spoke wheels, three riding modes—Street, Rain, Off-Road—a fully adjustable suspension, and a 5-inch TFT with navigation.

For newer riders, the 250 Adventure offers a more accessible entry point at Rs. 7,49,900. It retains KTM’s bold adventure styling with a 249cc engine, 227mm ground clearance, long-travel suspension, ride-by-wire, and Off-Road ABS.
By conquering Dolpa’s extreme conditions, KTM riders showcased the resilience of the new Enduro and Adventure lineup, reaffirming KTM’s legacy as a leader in performance-oriented adventure bikes in Nepal.
